Formed in the shape of the famous 220,000-liter Heidelberg Tun housed in the cellars of Heidelberg castle, this stein was produced to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Heidelberg University in 1886. The dates �1386-1886� are contained in a shield on the handle (below center).
