Pottery, etched, 0.5L or 0.25L, inlaid lid.
0.25L size exists in two versions, one with a pedestal base.
Initial versions of this stein (see 0.5L below) included storks in the side designs, matching those found on the master stein (No. 1949). The storks would appear to have been eliminated from the design sometime in the early 1890s (see 0.25L below). Whether or not the same change was made to later versions of the master stein is currently unclear.
