(Greetings from Frankfurt)
�Es is k�� Stadt uff der weite Welt
die so merr wie mei Frankfort gef�llt,
und es will merr net in mein Kopp enei
wie kann nor e Mensch net von Frankfort sei.�
(There is no city in the whole world
which I like as well as my Frankfurt,
and it does not want to enter my head
how someone could not be from Frankfurt.)
Central image depicts the historic Frankfurt R�mer (city hall). Originally configured from eight large homes, it has been the seat of Government in Frankfurt since 1405. Side images include the medieval Eschenheimer Turm (tower), once a gate to the city, as well as the Frankfurt Operahouse and Playhouse. Text is the first stanza of a poem entitled �Mei Frankfort� (My Frankfurt) by Friedrich Stoltze (1816-1891).
