Scene and text taken from a poem entitled “The Trumpeter of Säckingen”, written in 1853 by Josef Viktor von Scheffel, which tells the story of a love affair between a trumpeter and a baron’s daughter. Original engraving entitled “Abschied” (Farewell) done in 1888 by Carl Schweninger (1854-1903).
This model number was produced with two different formats, both 2.0L and with the same central image (compare below). Note that the alternative version (below right) contains only the first line of text.
