The central image on this stein, called �Beim Maiwein� (With the May Wine) by the manufacturer, is taken from a poem entitled �The Trumpeter of S�ckingen�, written in 1853 by Josef Viktor von Scheffel, which tells the story of the love affair between a Werner (a trumpeter) and Margaritha (a baron�s daughter).
