Catalog No. 1250
Pottery or stoneware, relief, 0.5L, pewter lid, central image varies.
This stein is found in two versions, both with identical Munich Child side decorations. However, the central image on one (right) is probably unique in its depiction of the Brunnenbuberl (boy at the fountain), one of Munichs lesser known tourist attractions, a public fountain made by Matthias Gasteiger in 1895 depicting an old satyr spitting water on a young boy. A second version (below right) replaces the image of the fountain with a more commonplace barmaid.
Price Ranges Brunnenbuberl: $90-$125 Barmaid: $50-$70
