This stein is modeled after the central figure in the Gänsemännchen Brunnen (Gooseman Fountain) which graces the courtyard of City Hall in Nuremberg (Nürnburg). The statue of the Gooseman was cast in solid bronze by Pankraz Labenwolf in the 16th century.
