Produced with either a “pounded-pewter” or a smooth lid. The words “St. Louis, MO” below the scene may be either incised, printed or missing. Red striping is generally found around both the top and bottom of the stein, but is sometimes found on the bottom only and may even be completely absent. None of these variations have any impact on pricing. A version of this stein with green (rather than red) cases in the wagon typically commands a premium of about 20%.
