There are two principal versions of this stein — one with cobalt blue within the borders of the central scene (shown at right), and another somewhat less common version with the cobalt blue used as the background around the entire stein (below, top right). However, a fairly wide range of other color variations are also known to exist, including those pictured below (see “Notes on Content” re: Variations).
It should be noted that Ceramarte made at least two (and perhaps more) steins with the same central theme, but differing in several respects from the versions sold by Anheuser-Busch. The easiest way to distinguish the A-B steins is by the presence of the rectangular plate seen below the scene in all A-B examples. See also CSL5 (lidded version).
