The firm of J.W. Remy was founded in the Westerwald town of Höhr by Johann Wilhelm Remy in 1864. Although it managed to survive for more than 100 years, and through two World Wars, the company finally succumbed to the pressures of slowing demand and was forced to terminate operations in 1966.
This on-line catalog has been developed specifically for use in the Beer Stein Library. By its very nature, it will continually be a work in process, designed to allow for updating as new facts are discovered.
